Jyotismita Taye
Postdoctoral Researcher Dr. Taye received her Ph.D. in 2021 from IIT Guwahati, India and is currently working as a postdoctoral associate at UCF. Her research interests are hydraulics and sediment transport. She studied the hydro-morphology of the sinuous river system in a large flume during her Ph.D. She is currently conducting research focused on feedbacks between hydrodynamics and natural infrastructure, such as mangroves and oyster reefs of the Indian River Lagoon. During her free time, she loves doing photography, cooking, and watching sunsets. |
Madison Guintolli
Graduate Researcher Madison holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from UCF and is a current graduate student of Civil Engineering - Water Resources track. Madison's research interests include living shorelines, flow-vegetation interaction, and the impact of boat wakes on the coastline of the Indian River Lagoon. In her spare time, you can find her cooking a delicious meal or playing Dungeons and Dragons with her friends. |
Manisha Thenuwara
Graduate Researcher Manisha is a doctoral student in the lab, whose research interests are roughness characteristics of biological canopies & living shoreline systems. He hold a bachelor's degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering, from Sri Lanka. Before joining to the lab he was practicing as a full-time water Engineer in the industry. At his leisure, you can find him diving, hiking, or working out at the gym. |
Namritha Ramakrishnan
Undergraduate Student Namritha is a 3rd year undergraduate environmental engineering student. Currently, she holds the position of Lab Manager at the Kibler Ecohydraulics Lab, where she coordinates the flow of samples coming through for analysis and runs lab hours. Her research interests include shoreline protection and the impact of storm surges. In her free time, you can find her messing with her film camera, crocheting, or spending time with her dog, Kiko. |
